Early Years
Matt was 10 years old when he took the stage at Woodstock '99 alongside his slightly older brother, Adam. This cemented his position as “the youngest artist ever invited to perform at a Woodstock festival.” Through his teen years and during young adulthood, Matt strived to maintain a busy performance schedule. Boldly following his vivid inspiration, Matt moved to New York City to gain experience and exposure. Another courageous step found him in the Blues capital of the world, Memphis, TN. There, he was the entertainment director, bandleader, and lead singer at the world-famous “Club Handy” on Beale Street (2015-16). In the spring of 2018, Matt relocated once again, this time to Los Angeles, CA. He quickly fostered important connections in the musical community.

Continual performing, but moreover innovative songwriting, helped Matt manifest his truest voice. He released his first all-original album on June 24, 2022, produced by Grammy-nominee Terry Wilson (i.e., Teresa James, Eric Burdon, Jimmy Reed, Paul Kossoff). This collection caught the attention of critics in Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and France plus continental rock and jazz enthusiasts, all reinforcing each other’s assessment.
Matt is a lifetime member of the Mohawk Valley Blues Society, rooted in his central New York home town. He currently manages and directs the “Backline Jam” at Ireland's 32 Pub in LA. There, he hosts many top Americana musicians from southern California. The jam provides a valuable workshop for experimentation with other progressive talent.
